UPDATE: Russia lifts restrictions on Georgian Airways flights to Moscow
(Provides new headline, lede, adds last paragraph)
MOSCOW, Jul 17 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Transport Ministry has lifted restrictions on Georgian Airways’ flights from Tbilisi to Moscow, a representative of the ministry told PRIME on Monday.
Russia restricted the flights on July 15 in retaliation to Tbilisi’s failure to coordinate flights of Russia’s Ural Airlines from Moscow’s Zhukovsky airport to Georgia.
“We confirm, the restrictions are lifted,” the representative said, adding that Georgia coordinated Ural Airlines’ flights to Tbilisi.
